Tiffany's Story...
Animal's name: A Little Jewel Named Tiffany Age (years): 6 Weight (pounds): 12 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Coat: Smooth Color: Blk & tan Adoption fee: 200 Sweet Tiffany was originally adopted from the local shelter by a neighbor of the current owner. When he had to move away, the neighbor babysat Tiffany but the original owner never picked her up. Tiffany is happy in her current home - she loves her playmate - a boxer- and she generally gets along great with other dogs. The problem is that she is now in a very busy household with many children and teens going in and out and she nips at the shoes of strangers! She will be fine in a home with older teens and less traffic. She loves to chase her toys, and play with other dogs - not good with cats. If you like Tiffany and think she might be the new jewel of your household, please go to drnc.org for more pix. There is also an application available if you want to meet Tiffany. To be considered to adopt, you must submit an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiffany, a Forest Ranch Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Forest Ranch, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Forest Ranch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forest Ranch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forest Ranch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forest Ranch paves the way for another one to be saved.
