Smiling Sammy's Story...
Animal's name: Smilin Sammy Age (years): 4 Weight (pounds): 12 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Coat: Wirehair Color: Blk & tan wild boar Adoption fee: 200 Sammy is a great looking wire haired dox. Not everyone even knows these are dachshunds but indeed they are! Sammy is a gorgeous one to boot. His family is very busy and cant give him the time he needs. He is a very tempermental guy who isnt fond of other dogs so he should be in a single dog, childless household. Someone who will dote on him and let him share the 'big bed' would be his idea of heaven. For more pix and an application, please visit drnc.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smiling Sammy, a Forest Ranch Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Forest Ranch, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Forest Ranch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forest Ranch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forest Ranch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forest Ranch paves the way for another one to be saved.
