My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teddy & Pepper are the Stalkers of Sunbeams and Fearless Hunters of Beanie Babies. The pair were first rescued when their person (who had 57!! cats) died. The people of the neighborhood stepped up and took in many of the cats, and found homes for the others. Teddy & Pepper were both frightened to be in a new home, but they adjusted and are now happy, sweet, people-oriented cats. While both cats firmly believe that their paws should only leave the ground of their own volition (they're not fond of being picked up) don't think that this means they don't want to interact and have your attention. Teddy adores being petted and will follow his people around the house, and will hold conversations when you talk to him (this includes a good morning greeting every day). Pepper adores being petted and brushed, and also follows his people around the house - and he's not above flopping onto his back right in front of you in order to demand he be petted, and he'll give you a dirty look if you step over him without the requisite rubs. In short, anticipate having a cat-shaped shadow if you take either boy into your home. They are both expert sunbeam stalkers; only jump on the furniture that they're allowed to jump on; and love to shred their scratching posts (but nothing else). And their favorite toys to chase about and wrestle with are Beanie Babies. Pepper and Teddy are very gentle with everyone, even when playing; and are otherwise calm, laid back cats.
