Khaleesi's Story...

Khaleesi is a petite and gentle girl who is looking for a forever home with her “bff”, “little” sister, Arya. At 8 lb., Khaleesi is

actually 2 lb smaller than 8 lb sis Arya, who is one month younger. That doesn’t stop her from keeping Arya in line if

needed.  Although they have different parents, they are inseparable, having been together since Khaleesi was 3 months old

and Arya was 2 months old. Living with these girls is more like having 1 dog than 2, as they are never more than a few feet

away from each other, and also stay close to their human family. They share a small crate and are quite happy there

overnight or when the family is out . They wait quietly until someone comes for them.

Khaleesi loves kids. She is used to having 5 kids to play with, ages 3-11, who are very used to dogs and are careful not to

hurt these tiny girls. She loves leash walks with her adults, but loves leash runs with the bigger kids. They all love to run and

play in their safe fenced yard and that would also be nice to have. She is closer to “sit” than Arya when treats are being

offered, but her bottom still doesn’t quite touch the ground. Her talent is being able to mould her little body into the exact

shape of the chest or lap of whoever wants to cuddle her. She likes hanging out on the couch with her family, in whatever

lap wants her warm little company. She also likes to go to her crate for quiet time and likes the door to be kept open for

her. It’s her safe place.

Both girls get along well with their 2 doggy foster brothers who are 80 and 85 lbs!! Their old home had a cat but Khaleesi

and the cat just ignored each other.  However new dogs make Khaleesi nervous and she will growl until she warms up with

Khaleese is housetrained on a schedule, knows she gets taken outside whenever she comes out of her crate. Less diva-like

than Arya, she will sometimes lose her focus on the task, and try to come in without her potty if it is raining or cold. She

loves her warm coat for outdoors.

If you think Arya and Khaleesi might fit into your family, we hope to meet you soon. Did we mention they love kids? Khaleesi

will turn 2 in February and Arya in March. Maybe they can celebrate with you!

Khaleesi has been  spayed, dewormed, vaccinated, heart worm checked, treated with Advantage multi and microchipped.

Her adoption fee with Arya together is $550.00.  If you think you would like to welcome this pair into your family please go

to and fill out a dog application.  A volunteer will get back to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Khaleesi, a London Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in London, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in London.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in London already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a London breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in London paves the way for another one to be saved.
