COBALT is a sweet little female kitten who is all gray with some very faint tabby markings. This 5-month-old may have a little Russian Blue in her. Cobalt has a very soft coat and loves to be petted when she isn’t mixing it up and bouncing off the walls with her siblings. She loves to climb on the kitty condo, toss around fuzzy mice, and generally play with anything that moves. She is a super affectionate little girl who will snuggle up for some loves when she’s finally worn out and is a real cuddler. She is an active young kitten who would do well in a household with another kitten or playful young cat -- or where someone is home alot so that she isn't left alone. Cobalt was adopted a couple of months ago, and was returned because she was terrified of the owner's rambunctious puppy -- so she might do best in a home without a dog (or possibly where there is a very mellow older dog). Her adoption fee is $110 ($200 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Cobalt is currently in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28th & Willamette). For more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
