Rocky's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rocky's Story...
Rocky is available for adoptiion in the midwest and New England.

Rocky is about 15 months of age and is a Lab mix, we think probably with a shepherd. His favorite activity is to play outside with the other dogs in his foster home. He is considered high energy and would make a great running, hiking or walking partner.
Rocky would also be a terrific 2nd dog to add to your family.
He shows interest in the foster cats if they run, but he just wants to play, not to hurt them. He would be fine with a cat that is dog savvy.
Rocky is crate trained, 90% house trained and takes treats very gently. He is very treat motivated and learns quickly, so should excel in obedience classes.
Due to his level of puppiness, children over 8 would be recommended.
He loves to cuddle when inside the house. Rocky enjoys chewing on elk antlers and other dog toys.
Rocky has the potential to be a terrific pet with a family that can offer him time, training and patience as he learns.
Rocky is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He is on flea and tick preventative.
If you think you might be a good fit for this young gentleman, please go to our website, www.luckylabrescue.com, complete the online application and indicate 'Rocky' in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
