  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Bosco's owner died in hospice care, leaving a grieving 14 year old Bosco without a place to go. His owner's family was referred to Tyson's Place Animal Rescue, where our mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding homes for their pets. He arrived at our rescue, confused and anxious about all the changes. Within a few weeks, he blossomed into a wonderful, friendly, loving boy. He loves cuddling on the bed or couch and sleeps soundly.

He is housebroken and crate trained. He would do best in a home with someone who is home much of the time, as he needs to be let out more often for potty breaks due to his age. He has been around children and likes to play ball with them. He would do best with older kids who know how to give him some space when he wants it. He has his favorite stuffed animals that he enjoys chewing on and does like to go for walks. His favorite activity is to go for a car ride and stick his head out the window, letting the breeze and the smells reach him.

His previous family described him as friendly, smart, affectionate, and a quick learner. What more can you ask for?

Bosco has lived with small dogs and does fine with them. He has met a variety of different dogs at adoption events and is relatively indifferent to them. He also has been exposed to older cats and ktitens and barely gives them a second glance.

Bosco has just had a dental cleaning and a wart removed from his head, so he is in great physical shape. He has years left to live! Bosco has a special adoption fee of $75 - this includes vaccinations, heartworm test and prevention, microchip, and flea topical. For more information, please email or fill out an application at

About Tyson's Place Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding homes for their pets. Since we help people receiving hospice care, heading into nursing homes, or families after the pet owner died, we often receive older animals. WE value older animals and cherish all that they can offer to their new family. We do not have a physical facility, so we rely on volunteers to foster the pets in their home until they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have adoption events throughout the year - check out our Facebook for a current listings. We do private adoption visits with approved applicants.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out (available at If you have a dog at home and want to adopt a dog, we would require that the dogs meet prior to adoption. Our dog adoption fee ranges from $75 to $175 based on age, and our cat adoption fee is $40.
