My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosaline
2 year old, Female, Seal Point Siamese

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this. Rosaline is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with the Marin Humane Society in Novato, CA.

What a precious, sad, little face. Rosaline seems to plead: “Please rescue me. Why am I in a shelter, in a cage? Why did my previous owner leave me? Why doesn’t anyone love me?”
There must be a wonderful, loving human out there who will treasure and cherish such a lovely girl.

We don’t know a whole lot about Rosaline. Apparently she lived in a home with other kitties, but wasn’t particularly bonded with them. Sadly, her previous owner passed away, and even sadder, apparently no plans were made for Rosaline to be taken in by someone who would give her a safe and loving home. Instead she was dropped off at a shelter.

Now, we know shelters aren’t necessarily bad places. We know that this particular shelter treats their animals kindly. They even reached out to our organization to help post this lovely girl. But we do know that for a very shy, non-aggressive kitty girl like Rosaline, this is not an ideal environment either.

Rosaline needs a patient home, with someone who is willing to work with her shyness. Do you have the patience and caring to bring out the best in this little kitty? I’d expect her to be hiding in her kitty cave (which is typically underneath a bed or in a closet) for several weeks. But from my own experience, there is nothing quite like the first time when a shy little kitty comes to you and starts to rub itself against you. Or you feel that little body close to you one night in bed. And sometimes we just have to be accepting of seeing but not necessarily touching these little fragile creatures until their comfort with their new human grows. What a rewarding experience that will be.

Please note that Rosaline is not with Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue. We are courtesy posting her for the Marin Humane Society in Novato, CA.
For more information about this pretty little kitty girl, please contact the Marin Humane Society Adoption Department directly at 415-506-6225. They are open Tuesdays – Sundays.
