Meet sweet Kasey! She is a 46 pound lab mix who is approximately six years old - but you would never guess it from her energy level!  This girl can play fetch until she drops.  She is a retrieving champion.   Even when the toys are away she is still looking for them. She happily drops the toys because she wants to make sure you throw them again! She would do well in a household that can devote a lot of time to getting her energy out. Sometimes you have to tell her when to stop for a drink of water!

Kasey is an absolute lovebug. She won't bother you when you're cleaning or moving around, but if you're sitting on the couch, you better bet she is right there looking for attention. She loves to snuggle and give kisses!

Kasey gets so excited when meeting new people that she will still jump up.  We are working on keeping her jumping to a minimum and because she is very treat motivated, it is improving. She now listens to 'off!'.

She is super sweet and awesome with kids of all ages.  She may have the knock down factor with small toddlers but she is super friendly and just loves them.  She lived with 3.5 year old and was so good with him and currently lives with a 7 and 10 yr. old who love her!

Kasey will mostly ignore other dogs, especially on walks.  She has been to dog parks and is so focused on retrieving, that she never bothers other dogs while there. She just wants to play and be with her people.

She does extremely well in the crate while her current foster parents are at work.

Due to her high energy level, and desire to be with 'her people', we do feel that someone that is home more during the day would benefit Kasey in helping her to get the proper exercise she needs.

About Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a labrador retriever rescue that places labs and lab mixes in new homes. We do this because we love the lab breed and want to be sure dogs in need of a new home find the right home for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Some , but not all, of our dogs are present at events we attend throughout our coverage areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For the most part, adopters do not meet a dog until they are introduced to the dog they are matched with. This introduction takes place after they have a home visit and are matched with one of our dogs and the meeting is held at a neutral location half way between the dog and the applicant.

Our Adoption Process...

All applicants complete an application and have a home visit before being approved to adopt. Once approved to adopt, they wait to find the right dog for their family. They are required to sign a pre-adoptive agreement and keep the dog they are matched with for a 3 week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well during that period, they sign an adoption agreement and adopt the dog. The fees vary depending on the age and altered status of the dog. We do require all dogs to be altered if they are not already and require obedience training as well
