Leroy is so much fun once he is comfortable. He loves to play with toys and to play chase with his foster siblings in the yard. I am always laughing at his antics. He is young so has a lot of energy.  Leroy has become quite a snuggler. He now comes up to me for attention and will lie with his head in my lap on the couch. He is house-trained, with only occasional accidents when taken out regularly. He is quite the smart pup and learns quickly.

Leroy came from a situation where he did not really get any socialization to the outside world, so he can be nervous when meeting new people or going new places. He is very sweet with people he knows and trusts, and fun and playful in environments where he is comfortable. Leroy is initially more comfortable with dogs than people, so he is looking for a home where he has a calm, confident doggy sibling to show him the ropes. He also needs to have a yard with a physical fence.  Please contact me today for more information about fun Leroy!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
