Becca's Story...
Becca is an adorable BoChi (Boston/Chihuahua) that is no more than two years old. She'd been seen by neighbors for weeks roaming the neighborhood, eating garbage and whatever some kind soul would feed her (like packages of Bologna!) Attempts to find an owner were unsuccessful. As you can imagine, her tummy was pretty torn up from eating really bad food, and she still requires medication and special diet to keep her system working as it should. Becca also tested positive for heartworm infection and she is finishing up her treatment, due to be complete at the end of August.

Becca is smart, affectionate, playful and a wonderful companion. She loves dogs, children, and adults equally. She's crate trained and house trained, walks well on leash and rides well in a car. She does have some anxieties around thunderstorms, but with the use of a Thundershirt, she's greatly improved. Becca likes to roam, so she will require a secure fence and/or commitment to leash walking as she likes to investigate for ways to escape. Let us know if Becca sounds like she is a great match for your family! Send in that application! abtr.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Becca, a Courtland Boston Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Courtland, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Courtland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Courtland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Courtland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Courtland paves the way for another one to be saved.
