Hey there! Glad you stopped by, would you like to know a little bit about me? My name is Oliver and I'm the softest dog you'll ever meet! The staff here at Brother Wolf love to compliment me on my squishy face and my beautiful smile. I was rescued from a S.C. shelter during the flooding in October of 2015 and have been looking for my furever home. I'm a bit shy when I'm in my kennel at the adoption center, so it's best we meet out in the yard where we can walk around and get to know each other! Once I'm familiar with you I promise to greet you with a big smile whenever I see you. I'd like to be in an adult home, or one with at least older children 12 and above. I can be protective of my toys and food (I just love them so much!) so I don't like it when people try to take them out of my mouth. However, I am very treat-motivated, so if you need me to do anything just whip one out and I'll follow you to the end of the world!

I'd prefer to be the only dog in your home since I haven't made any doggie friends here, but if you have a mellow dog we could meet at the adoption center to make sure we get along.

If I sound like your perfect match, I'll be waiting for you at the Brother Wolf adoption center!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
