MelodyCP's Story...
Belinda and Melody are looking for a foster or adoptive home as soon as possible. Their mom recently had to relocate to a residential care facility that did not accept pets. Belinda is a calico and about 5 years old. Melody has black and white fur and is a little over one year old. They are both sweet, loving cats. Belinda is pretty laid back and happy to sit on your lap or just relax. Melody loves to be in the middle of everything you’re doing, is playful, but also a lover.

They have both been spayed and are current on their vaccines. Medical records are available for anyone able to take these girls. Belinda is also declawed. They have both always been indoor cats.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting both or either of these girls, please contact Laura at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MelodyCP, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
