Abby Tuxedo's Story...
Hi, my name is Abby Tuxedo. I am a 5-year-old spayed – you guessed it! – tuxedo. I am a shy lady by nature, but once I get to know and trust you I promise you that I am a real sweetheart. I like to roll over on my back to have my belly rubbed and reach up to do head butts and nose kisses. I also like to sweetly reach up with my paws and touch your face.

I was with my human mom since I was a tiny kitten. But my mom got really sick and couldn't take care of me anymore, so I came to Safe Place. My brother came with me, but he found a great family to adopt him already. Now I am hoping to find a family of my own as well.

But what I really, really need is someone who would be patient with me while I get to know and trust them and love me with all their heart! Could it be that you are that someone special who I would let into my heart? Could you be the one to let me into your heart? If your heart came with extra servings of canned cat food or tuna, I'd love that too. I'll let you hear my great purr when I get those extra servings in my tummy. I'm extra happy then. Make an appointment to meet me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby Tuxedo, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
