Loopy got her name when she was picked up as a stray carrying a box of Fruit Loops in her mouth.  She is a young dog, just about a year old, and weighs about 30 pounds.  Loopy is very sweet, submissive with other dogs, and has a moderate energy level, although that may change as she gets more comfortable with her foster home.  She is wicked fast when she gets started running, and may be a performance dog.  She's a bit shy around new things, a little wiggly, and will not sit still for petting.  However, she is not constantly looking for things to get into.  She is definitely crate trained, and will go off on her own to lie in her crate.  Loopy is not food aggressive.  She is good with most dogs, good with kids, and good with adults;  we don't yet know how she is around cats.  She is also pretty quiet.  She's current on her vaccinations, spayed, and fostered in the Bradenton area. UPDATE  Loopy NKA Tally is doing great!! She has started obedience school and is doing fantastic! She is focused on her person, submissive with other dogs and is very food motivated. She will be a great girl for jogging or hiking partner!! Very biddable, responds to correction easily!! Fostered in Bradenton. IF you are looking for a fun easy girl this would be her!!!

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
