Spirit's Story...
Spirit is a beautiful one year old mama cat who came to the into foster care nursing 5 kittens. She was very skinny and malnourished, but thanks to the care she received while in foster care and some yummy new food, she filled out quite a bit! She is affectionate and motherly (not so much to her own kittens, Ha! But she started grooming other kittens after her own were adopted.) Very pretty coloring with the orange and grey mixed. She is already spayed, up to date on her vaccines and FIV/FeLV negative and gets along very well with other cats.
Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at www.billericacatcarecoalition.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spirit, a N. Billerica Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in N. Billerica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in N. Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in N. Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a N. Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in N. Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
