Francesca is a really sweet, barely makes a peep 10 year old who lives to snuggle in big piles of fluffy blankets. Who doesn't? She is 11 lbs and is working on getting her girlish figure in top shape.
When she has to go potty, she'll do a cute little silent cry/whine with a few complaining style barks mixed in. Her foster mom just picks her up and takes her outside. Adorable. Right?
She enjoys being with other dogs and we believe she will be fine with cats and older kids too.
You can brush her teeth, trim her nails and she doesn't mind. She is most definitely a lap dog and will curl up next you all day. She sleeps in her crate and doesn't mind hanging out in there either.
She is not a fan of walking or the harness.....she most likely spent her whole life in a crate. She is learning how to explore the outside and is working on leash walking with her foster mom.
She is such an easy keeper. She is as sweet and happy as they come. She doesn't complain and goes with the flow.
All she wants is love, a soft bed and an adoring family to give her the comfort she deserves. Won't you help this girl live out her golden years in the home she has waited all of her life for?

Francesca will go to her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
