Pepper looks like a Boxer mix, possibly mixed with a Jack Russell Terrier since she's so petite.

Pepper weighs 29 lbs, and is 1 1/2 years old. She was adopted but her family would like her to have another home.

Pepper gets along with other dogs and enjoys rides in the car.  Pepper really loves to show affection, and she loves belly rubs. She is a playful pup, and is enjoying playing with all the doggie toys in her foster home.  She tries to get all the other dogs to play with her. Pepper would enjoy a fenced backyard where she can run. Even though she is not super-high-energy, she likes to take a quick spin around  the backyard.

Pepper is very affectionate but we are told she is nervous with strangers in her adoptive home (but is great at doggie day care, for example). Her owner thinks it isn't the best match for her.

Pepper is housetrained, and she knows 'sit' and 'down' (which means lie down and roll over for belly rubs!)

Please note that Pepper has had 3 different names in the past 9 months - she was Zelda at the shelter in NC, Holly in her Wag On Inn foster home, and Pepper in her adoptive home.  That's why she is called 'Zelda' in her video. Confusing, but not to Miss Pepper, who will answer to any name spoken with a loving voice!

Pepper's adoption fee is $350.

About Wag On Inn Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We will be having an adoption event at the Prince and the Pawper, located at: Cobblestone Village 889 West Park Ave Ocean, NJ 07712. The phone number of the Prince and the Pawper is : 732-695-0095 . Besides having us there the last saturay of the month, starting at 11 Am, you can also check their website
( http://www.theprinceandthepawper.com/ ) to see what they have to offer you.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.
