Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kota (means Little Bear) is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag. Once he gets a sudsy bath and grooming that he needs so desperately...Kota will absolutely be one of the cutest guys around. At 4.5 - 5 years old and 16 lbs, Kota is every bit the puppy-like kind of guy...fun and active....but at the same time he is a well-behaved pup who is very positive and sweet - he expresses himself with his wagging tail and excited hugs.
At this point in Kota's life, he loves those that are kind to him..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Kota to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like this little guy to attend positive reinforcement group obedience classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. Right now, Kota is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved guy around. Kota absolutely loves to be loved and will return this devotion a thousand times over.
We'd like Kota to be part of a family with gentle, dog-crazy older children (12+ would be great) or with active retirees who will include him in their activities. Kota is so portable that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than leisurely walks, trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Kota is a perfect size to hike with as well...he can walk a very long way, Kota is young enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...he can succeed.
Kota is a non-shedding guy and considered to be one of the top breed mixes for those with allergies. He will therefore require great nutrition (salmon oil will make his coat SO soft) and periodic grooming to keep his hair cotton-soft hair very healthy and matt-free.
Kota will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 8/12/16. If interested in this adorable and sweet...and often very entertaining companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
