Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Shelter has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a New BOARD, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501C3
