Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Gypsy was found as a stray and taken to a shelter and then transferred to FRGSR. She is an affectionate 3 yr old GSD who has been waiting for a long time for her forever family to come along. We think she may do best as an only pet. She LOVES to go for long walks. We know that many folks have multiple pets in their home and we are hoping someone who doesn't have any other pets and is looking for a loyal, loving canine companion will come along to give this girl the second chance in life that she deserves.
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available . We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
