Facts about Delilah

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: B38K4
  • Hair: Short
Delilah is the smallest of a group of 9 kittens found in a backyard and socialized by their finder. She is a sweet cuddly girl who loves to play and will let you cuddle her in a baby blanket and clean her face with warm water on cotton balls. Her fur is so soft and she has beautiful eyes. I call her bright eyes. Sometimes the sun or bright lights will make her squint her eyes but when she looks at you she just melts your heart. Her favorite toy...little fuzzy balls. She is a sweet tiny little girl with the softest fur. She would do best with other cats in the household. Whether it be an older cat or another kitten to wrestle around with.
We ask for a minimum adoption fee of $100, which will include her spay, rabies vaccine, 1st FRCVP shot, worming, and flea preventative, food, litter, and other medical treatment while in our care. She can be microchipped for an additional $30 if NOT YET VETTED at time of adoption. This amount is BELOW our actual cost to do all of these things and we make no money on adoptions. She will be vetted once we have a contracted adopter and can go home then or 5 days after her surgery f you would prefer we recover her after surgery, pending Foster approval and possible home inspection. Contracting requires payment of the adoption fee, which can be paid in cash, paypal to billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com, or by calling our veterinary clinic, No More Chasin Tails, directly and donating to our bill.

About Billy the Kidden Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The mission of Billy the Kidden Rescue is to improve the lives of displaced cats and kittens, and reduce feral cat populations in Hampton Roads, by socializing outdoor-born and unwanted kittens for adoption into forever homes.
We specialize in TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) and feral kitten socialization. We provide "working cats" to farms, barns, breweries, warehouses, vineyards, and other places. We also help with lost cats and kittens, long term fostering, SELECT rehoming situations, cat behavioral and nutritional advice, and infant kitten rescue.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Donations can be made to the Billy the Kidden Rescue spay/neuter account at either No More Chasin Tails in Newport News (757-255-8804) or our general Billy the Kidden Rescue veterinary account at Acredale Animal Hospital (757-523-6100) or by paypalling us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com or can be sent via mail to Billy the Kidden Rescue, PO BOX 16919, Chesapeake, VA 23328.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are available for Meet and Greets at their various fosters homes or at our cattery at Pups n Stuff in Virginia Beach for fosters who do not show animals in their home. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and a Board Member must approve all adoptions.
At Pups n Stuff, you can come see some of our ready to go adoptables. It is at 4330 Holland Rd. in Virginia Beach. The Store hours are Tu-Sat 12:00 - 8:00pm and Sundays 12:00 - 6:00pm Closed on Mondays. We do not have cattery staff on hand during all business hours. However if you let us know you are going we can be sure a staff member is there to meet you, so you can go in the cattery and play with the kitties! If you do go during a time when we aren't there you can look at the kitties through the window and pick up some of our information, but will have to come back actually play with them. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption questionnaire to learn a bit about the home our rescue animals will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor only clause. Our adoption fees range from $25 to $130, depending on vetting costs. Our Career Cat adoption fee is $25. Our adoption fee for adults, vetted rehoming cases, special needs, and kittens over 6 months is usually $50- $75. Most kittens have an adiption fee of $100 if not microchipped and $130 if microchipped. Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family, especially the furry members.
