Bailey's Story...
Bailey and her4 siblings (Britton, Biscuit, Baxter, Butters) were left outside Care Animal Hospital in Ruskin in a carrier infested with ants. The poor little things were only 2 weeks old. We don't know how long the 5 siblings were alone outside with ants crawling all over them but it really makes us mad! The Animal Hospital contacted St. Francis to see if could take in these adorable bottle babies. How could we possibly say no! They spent their first two weeks in foster care with one of our incredible bottle feeders. They joined my family of fur babies when they were about 4 weeks old. Bailey and her liter mates are super affectionate! If you are looking for a cuddle bug, Bailey or any of her siblings are for you! She loves to curl up under your neck to take a snooze. Like all young kittens, Bailey is very active and playful. She loves to play with the puffy balls and climb the cat scratcher. When she is done, she'll snuggle in for a well earned nap. As a young kitten she will do best with one of her adorable liter mates or with a family that has another young fur baby that he can play with.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
