Name: Saul

AKA: “Motor Boy” (because I have a very loud purr)

Age: 5

Sign: Taurus

Favorite Color: Brown (the color of food)

Favorite Outfit: A tuxedo

Weight: 14 lbs.

Health: Excellent; All Vaccines Current; Microchipped

Favorite Activities:

  • Eating
  • Bird watching
  • Following my owner around
  • Sitting on my owner’s lap
  • Watching and investigating everything around me
  • Being brushed with the Furminator
  • Running around and playing in spacious areas
  • Playing with string toys and that Cat Dancer thing
  • Hanging out in boxes and clothes baskets
  • Rolling around in cat nip
  • I’ll even chase around the red laser dot for a while
  • Batting around and chasing those noisy, crinkly cellophane balls
  • I like to be up really high! My current owner has a really cool cat tree for me. She said I can take it with me to my new home!

I am a very friendly cat and I like to hang out with guys (sorry ladies!). Maybe because I’m a guy? I’m pretty chill and mellow. I’ve only been around adults my whole life, so kids are alien to me.

I’ve never lived with another cat. However, if my owners would allow us proper time to get to know each other, it just might work out. I’d have a play partner 24/7! J

I want my new owner to be very kind and affectionate and preferably one who has had a cat before, so they understand how to treat me well. I want them to spend a lot of time with me and play with me a lot. I get lonely when my owner is gone all day. I like to sleep with my owner at night. I promise I won’t hog the covers!

All cats are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped.

About Angel's Wish

About Our Rescue Group...

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.

Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.

We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.

Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

Our Adoption Process...

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.
