DELTA's Story...
GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MISS DELTA!! MADE IN THE USA. Delta is a beautiful one + year old Blue Tick Hound with the sweet and loving characteristics of the breed. Those soulful and pleading eyes are irresistible. Blue Ticks love their people and want to be with and go with them always, car rides, sleeping at foot or in your bed, cuddling on the couch. Delta is very intelligent and loving. Blue Ticks are Scent Hounds, so you must have a fence. They could wander off with their sniffing abilities. Good with other animals, but will/can chase a squirrel. You will need to walk with a leash so she doesn’t run off with an interesting scent. Blue Ticks make wonderful search and rescue dogs. If you are not familiar with the breed, please do your research to make sure you have the temperament for her. Delta has had a rough life and needs some more weight and good nutrition on her pretty body. She needs someone that cares about her. Is that you? She is a honey girl. Write pawsnada@aol.com for an application. Call 580-332-5233 or visit Delta at the shelter. Hours 10-4 during the week and 10-2 on Saturday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DELTA, a Ada Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Ada, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Ada.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ada already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ada breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ada paves the way for another one to be saved.
