HARRIET's Story...
HOP IN YOUR CHARIOT AND COME MEET HARRIET!! Harriet is a beautiful 7 month old Red Heeler/Aussie Mix. Miss Harriet is a really sweet lady that needs the comfort and love of a good home. Like most that are new to shelter life she is a little shy in the beginning. Heelers are known to be very confident dogs with a high degree of intelligence. They look to you for guidance and to be their leader. Harriet has so much potential. ACD’s/Heeler make excellent running or biking companions although care must be taking not to over exert the young dog. Because of their intelligence they are known to excel in dog sports such as Fly Ball, Agility and Frisbee competition. The sky is the limit. Reach for the sky with Harriet by you side. Don’t wait, write pawsnada@aol.com for an application. Call 580-332-5233 or visit the shelter after 10am.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HARRIET, a Ada Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Ada, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Ada.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ada already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ada breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ada paves the way for another one to be saved.
