Simon's Story...
Hi there. My name is Simon. I I was found and brought to the shelter with only a few hours to spare. Luckily a nice lady from St. Francis rescued me. I am now being taken care of by foster family and I am warm and have a full tummy. I am adventurous and love to play on the steps, but I do love being held and cuddled. I also love playing with my sister, Pippa. I get to live with my foster mom for a few more weeks, but then I'll be ready for my forever family. I sure hope I get a family that will love and take care of me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
