Update for Sandra Dee (Bella)
Sandra D came to stay with us about 6 months ago. She had just been spayed and had been boarded for awhile. So she was not a happy little girl and was having some pain from being spayed. At first she only wanted us to pet her on the head, but it didn’t take long for her to trust us. We have a Boxer boy named Blue (7 years old, adopted from ABR). Within 24 hours Sandra and Blue were friends. She began to change when she put on a little more weight, started trusting us more and got over any pain related to her operation then she became a happy little girl.
Sandra D is white with a brown spot over one eye. She has a long tail that is usually going crazy when she gets excited (that is anytime you talk to her!)
We introduced a little puppy (just 6 weeks old) into our home and Sandra accepted her immediately. All three play together and run all over the yard. We do feed them separately but have had no issues with them being together. I have never seen her around cats so I’m not sure how that would work. She loves to run up and down the fence line with the neighbor dogs and sunning on the driveway. She is also a great watchdog and will bark if someone comes over, and then gives kisses when they finally come in. When Sandra gets really excited or when she meets someone new she makes a grunting noise and I tell her she sounds like a Miss Piggy.
Bella is such a good girl and will follow commands to sit or lay down, she is very laid back and loves to sleep on her big pillow unless she hears the treat box. I think she would be a wonderful addition to any family. She is a loving little girl who just needs to find her forever home.
