Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baylee is a handsome Shih Tzu who needs direction and a gentle, patient home to help him on his journey. Baylee is 4years old and 20lbs. He knows he's the cutest, most macho dog on the block...but Baylee likes getting his way. Don't we all? This fluff-a-licious fella was recently returned to rescue for nipping his adopter's hand. (He communicates with low growl which was ignored). He was fostered with a trainer the past couple of months and has made improvements. Baylee is available to foster-to-adopt.
Baylee loves walks and walks nicely on the leash. He is a very dog-friendly. He enjoys meeting new dogs and is a bit forward about his introductions, he thinks everyone wants to meet him as much as he wants to meet them. He has lived with dogs and does well with dogs of all sizes. Baylee would do better in a home without cats or other small animals. Baylee would do well with older children or an adult household. Baylee prefers a quite home. He loves belly rubs!!
Baylee is house trained and crate trained and enjoys going into his crate to relax or sleep at night. Baylee is treat motivated and would love to be with a loving person who provides him plenty of structure and who can continue his training. He also likes chew toys and loves playing tug with rope toys. He could use some help learning how to share his toys with the other dogs.
Baylee may take a few minutes to warm up to new people but his love is worth the wait. This little guy would make a wonderful only dog if his people are around a lot or a companion for a dog already in the home if he is to be left alone all day while someone is at work.
Baylee’s adoption fee is $250. He is being fostered in the San Jose area.
Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received and accepted.
