Michael Angelo's Story...
Hello potential new families! My name is Michel Angelo! I am a handsome 1-2 year old Black Lab mix. I am a small boy, only 45 lbs. full grown! I was abandoned at a shopping center before The Halfway House Animal Rescue took me in. I have so much personality and energy, and I would love an active owner looking for a jogging or walking partner. I have a fluffy coat so I don't get cold and can keep you warm on a cold night. I am working on learning leash manners. I like other submissive dogs, but prefer to not be around other hyper dogs, as they scare me. As I've never had a family of my own, I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, so I can get the attention I deserve. I am the most loving, loyal, sweet dog, with lots of personality and love to give. I am neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on shots, heartworm preventative, flea medication, and dewormer. Please don't hesitate to put in an application on me today! I am in foster care in Salisbury, NC

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michael Angelo, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
