GENDER: Female, spayed
BREED: Domestic Short Hair, Ticked Tabby Torti
BIRTH DATE: Approx. May 2014
LITTER BOX TRAINED: Yes
VETTING DONE: Fully vaccinated, dewormed, de-flea, FIV/Felv tested, spayed, rabies.
GETS ALONG WITH OTHER DOGS/CATS: Molly is being fostered in a home with three cat friendly dogs and other cats. Although she doesn’t “chum around” with them, she also isn’t bothered by them.
CHILDREN: Molly is a bit shy, so lots of activity with young kids around would probably scare her. There are no young children under 18 in the foster home.
SPECIAL NEEDS: No
BIO: “Momma Molly” was found at the local Best Western Hotel where she was barely getting by on scraps (French fries, greasy fried chicken & other unhealthy stuff) from the employees and guests of the hotel.
She had a litter of three kittens under a bush in 2014 and tried to care for them as best she could, with what little she could get. Her previous litter had all been hit by cars in the parking lot of the hotel.
The employees alerted an Out Of The Woods volunteer, who brought Molly and her kittens inside to safety, fed them good food and had them all fully vetted.
Molly continued to raise her three kittens in the foster home, and after they were weaned, she then also happily nursed and cared for four other orphaned kittens! (all later adopted)
Molly is very friendly and sweet, also very gentle and shy.
She NEVER gets on counters, tables or furniture - or even a windowsill! Looking outside scares her now.
Molly chooses a favorite place or two and prefers to hang out there – namely the circle ball toy with cardboard in the center (shown in photo).
Molly will happily come up to her foster mom and other family members while they are sitting, and very gently reach a paw up to their leg or an arm to ask for petting and a scratch behind her ears.
Molly likes firm footing under her feet.
She has a very distinct little waddle in her rear end, a sashe of sorts which is very endearing – and may contribute to her uneasiness of jumping up (or down) on/from things.
