Sweet young mom Kanga has raised her kittens and is ready to move on with her life! This lovely girl is a quiet, gentle, loving kitty who will make her new family very happy they found her!

Our darling Kanga is spayed, vaccinated (including rabies), tested for feline disease, and current on flea preventative. All she needs is a safe and happy home!

Do you within 30-40 minutes of Hartford City and would like to foster Kanga until she finds her adoptive family? She would love that!! Just send us a private message and we'll be happy to discuss what fostering means, to you and to the animal! Fosters are so important and awesome in so many ways!!

About Our Shelter...

Our mission is to provide temporary shelter, care and medical attention for stray, surrendered or otherwise homeless cats and dogs in Blackford County, to prevent animal cruelty and neglect and prosecute offenders, to strengthen the human-animal bond through education and adoption, and to promote the importance of spaying and neutering to help control the pet population.

We are very rescue friendly and are grateful to the rescues in their efforts to help us with our animals. We do require a signed contract with the rescues we work with.

We are located at 2520 N. 200 E. Hartford City. Office hours are Monday - Sunday 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. After hours please leave a message, we WILL return your call !

Our Adoption Process...

Our shelter is full of wonderful cats and dogs just waiting for you to come and take them home. Our adoption requirements are that you must provide a loving home and all your current animals are spayed or neutered. We begin the adoption process with an adoption application. Our adoption fees are: Adult Cats $65, Kittens $85, Adult Dogs $105, and Puppies $150. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, on flea prevention, have been heartworm/ feline leukemia/ FIV tested and are micro-chipped.
