Duke was on the top of the euthanasia list and that morning the volunteers tried once more to save his life by reaching out for this very worthy good boy! They send email after email and every one was full. Not only that....the rescues could not afford him cause, you see, he's heart worm positive. A hard sell when rescues are on such limited funds.

But the plea was so heartfelt for this boy cause he is so sweet and the volunteers just could NOT give up! And, with such support how could we turn our backs? We would come up with the money somehow. TAKE HIM!

And so Duke is with us now being vetted and treated for his heart worm. He's a good boy, sweet, fairly laid back and has endeared himself at the vet's office the same as he did at the shelter. He will be fully vetted, neutered and microchipped....and ready for a home to call his own by the end of August. Do you think he might be a dog for you? Reach out now, if so.
