Description: Captain Jack has led a hard life, and physically, he is still healing. He is a tall, lanky guy, with soft, silky fur; a white blaze on his chest; and a white nose and toes. He has beautiful, almond-shaped brown eyes that are incredibly expressive.
Personality: Even though Captain Jack had a rough time of it before coming into IAR, it has not affected how sweet and wonderful he is. He is happy, calm, and easy-going. He loves to run and play, but even more he loves to be loved. He has missed out on so much, and he is ready to have a life that will be kind to him.
Captain is one of those dogs that fell into the wrong hands early in his life, yet he is still so loyal and good! Captain is smart, easy to walk on the leash, and listens and follows commands. Very food motivated, he will do anything for a biscuit! He is fantastic with other dogs and would make a great second dog.
Everyone who meets him remarks on what a good boy he is. He is special. He needs so very little to be happy. Captain is a great dog who will make a fabulous companion.
Animal History: Captain was found as a stray in terrible condition on the side of the road. He was rescued by some wonderful people who helped get him on his way to recovery.
