Century - V's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

During a cold downpour one evening, volunteers pulled up to the shelter door only to discover a cardboard box. Not sure what to expect, we were surprised to find three tiny kittens inside. Crying and trying to climb out, the three boys were quickly brought inside. After being given a warm bath, the three started to settle down after receiving food, water, antibiotics, and a little bit of TLC. Not knowing where they came from or where they had been, we weren't sure what to expect of little Century. We quickly realized he would okay, though, when he had a large appetite and a loving personality. From day one, Century has never feared people. He has always longed for attention and asked to be petted. Century is now a happy and healthy kitten who loves to play, play, play! Century's beautiful grey fur sets him apart from his brothers and makes him extra special. Please email, with any questions. If you would like to meet Century please fill out an adoption application that can be found at: Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon! THIS ADOPTION COMES WITH 30 DAYS OF PRE-PAID PET HEALTH INSURANCE COURTESY OF FRIENDS OF THE SHELTER, INC. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Century - V, a Cedar Rapids Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
