Henry's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Henry is mellow and a wonderful companion beagle. He loves to be around people, is the nicest greeter, and will follow you anywhere. Go to the kitchen? Cool. Henry will follow and then lie down on the floor. In fact, when he arrived from Southern Illinois, he went straight to a party where several children petted him and he loved it. He likes to play with other dogs. Plus, he is crate trained. Henry is estimated to be around a year old. He weighs 24 pounds. He is up to date on vaccinations, will be neutered before adoption and is microchipped. This little guy is the perfect family dog. Don't let this one get away, he won't be around long. For more information about Henry please contact Correy at cedaum@gmail.com or call her at 319-310-5448. The adoption application can be completed at www.lasthoperescueia.org/adopt. Indoor homes only. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Cedar Rapids Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
