Jenny's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

With her eyes barely open and still unsteady on her feet, Jenny found her way to the shelter with her 3 sisters and brother at just two weeks of age. While she had no idea where she was, it didn't matter to Jenny-as long as she was with her littermates, she knew she would be okay. Over the course of the past 5 weeks, we have seen Jenny blossom into a beautiful girl. She is a solid black kitten with fur that's silky soft. Jenny adores being with her littermates (and two kitten friends) and running around. She isn't scared of anything and is quite an explorer. While the first two weeks of Jenny's life were uncertain, we're positive she'll find a loving forever home. Jenny's adoption fee is $85.00 with $25.00 returned once proof of her spay is received. Please email, with any questions. If you would like to meet Jenny please fill out an adoption application that can be found at: Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jenny, a Cedar Rapids Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
