Charlie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Single 5 year old, 26 pound, silver/gray male seeking human to start over. Age, height, weight, and looks unimportant. My name is Charlie and I'm a Schnauzer looking for a forever relationship. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I've lived with young and old humans and a variety of other 4 legged critters. I'm starting over because my former humans didn't have time for June the Pomeranian and me. I'm a happy guy and I really miss being part of a family. My idea of a perfect evening is a walk around the block and cuddle time on the couch watching a movie. I also enjoy a car ride through the park, you'd have to drive, I don't have my license. Serious inquiries only. I've already lost everything once, I don't want to chance it again. Since I don't have thumbs and can't type you can contact Caroldoser@hotmail.com for more information about me. You can complete the adoption application for me at www.lasthoperescueia.org/adopt. Indoor homes only. Adoption donation $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Cedar Rapids Standard Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
