Hoover's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hoover is an 11 year young black lab. He is looking for a home that will provide him with love and attention. Hoover was dropped off at the shelter because he could no longer perform his duties, ie hunting. He does have hip dysplasia but with the right joint support chews he has improved joint movement and the vet says he is getting along very well. He loves to play with the puppy we have although he gets tired out pretty fast. He is a big baby and thinks he is a lap dog. He follows me everywhere I go, he is a so loving and friendly. He sleeps on his bed in our bedroom right next to me. He is fully vetted, HW neg, neutered, microchipped, house trained. kennel trained and sleeps through the night. He knows basic commands: sit, stay, OK, kennel up, out and potty. Won't you give a senior dog the retirement and the love he deserves. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hoover, a Cedar Rapids Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
