Simon's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi! My name is Simon and I am a 1 year old Puggle (you know a Pug and Beagle all mixed together). I am as sweet as sweet can be, don't my pictures tell it all!! I give kisses and hugs. Dogs and cats are A OK with me, we have lots of fun playing together. My foster Mom says I am hard headed with the potty training thing, but I am smart and if you work with me I WILL get the hang of it. I weigh about 20 #, am 1 years old. I have been to the vet, got my shots, micro chipped and I even got neutered(OUCH)! I don't mind the crate but I would much rather follow you around all day and be your buddy. For more information on Simon please contact caroldoser@hotmail.com. You can complete the adoption application at www.lasthoperescueia.org. Indoor homes only. Adoption fee is $175.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Cedar Rapids Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
