Say hello to Izzy! Izzy is a Carolina Dog, also known as an American Dingo. She came into our care as a stray, so her history remains a mystery. She is estimated to be about three years old. She is very unique and requires a home that is knowledgeable on her breed. Izzy appears to be very interested in cats, so would not be a good match if cats are in the home. When Izzy is on a leash, she pulls some, but generally does very well. She would learn quickly and would thrive from lots of attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Izzy, a Cedar Rapids Carolina Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Carolina Dog for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Carolina Dog dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Carolina Dog breeders who help with Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
