Ling's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Calling all Siamese lovers! Ling showed up on a resident's door step on a cold, blistery winter night. Unable to care for her themselves, Ling was brought to the shelter. Ling is gorgeous! Her markings are true to the Siamese breed and are stunning. Ling is a senior and approximately 9 years old. She is in good health, especially now that she's had some teeth pulled. She does have cataracts, but they don't seem to slow her down. Ling loves to sit in the window for hours and watch the cars drive by and the birds fly past. She is content laying in a bed alone and is pretty low-energy. She doesn't play much, so if you are looking for a relaxed gal, Ling may be for you. Like most Siamese, Ling can be vocal at times. If you are a Siamese lover, please consider giving Ling a home. If you have any questions about Ling please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ling, a Cedar Rapids Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
