Doodle's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi I’m Doodle. I am a lemon beagle and people say I am about 7 years old. I don’t like to talk too much about my past, I prefer to focus on the present and future. I am a real lady’s man and tend to be very timid when I am around male humans and around unexpected sounds. I am currently living in a foster home with two other dogs and two human kids (one is 4 months old and the other is 4 years old) and I get along with them all very well! I really get along with the adult woman, I like to lay on her lap when she lets me and sleep at the foot of her side of the bed, however I get scared when I see the adult male, but I am okay as long as I have my space. I am getting better being around him as the weeks go by. I hardly bark which is rare for a beagle or so I’ve been told. I love to go for long walks and I am house broken which I hear people are thankful for! I am looking for a forever family that will help me learn to play again and help keep my future looking bright. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doodle, a Cedar Rapids Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
