Ellie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Miss Ellie… she's a 6 yr old Wheaten Terrier. She's a big sweetie who loves everyone.. She plays well with my dogs and is so easy to have around. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, spayed and completely housebroken. Ellie loves to lay and get her tummy scratched or her ears rubbed. This sweet girl loves all the attention you can give her. She's a calm & relaxed dog when indoors and loves to run, play & explore when out in the yard. She understands some commands like sit & shake. Ellie loves to go for car rides and just has the sweetest disposition ever! She makes a great guard dog as she doesn't bark much unless she hears something that she doesn't recognize. Ellie would do great with other dogs as a companion to pal around with. Ellie would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, as she loves to romp and play. She is an all around great family dog! For more information on Ellie please contact Carol at 319-310-9900. If you are interested in meeting Ellie, please complete the adoption application at Indoor homes only. Adoption fee $175.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Cedar Rapids Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
