Meet Mickey! This youngster is a 16 week old friendly, happy, playful, purebred rough coated (long-haired) collie puppy. He loves to play ball and will fetch and return the ball so that you can throw it again. Collies his age are very energetic, so having a fenced yard for this youngster is preferable, but to the right active family, it might not be necessary. As much as he loves to play fetch, he'll ignore the ball to try to get another dog to play with him. For this reason, and the fact that he has always been with other dogs, his foster family thinks that Mickey would prefer living in a home with another dog. Mickey is crate trained and likes his crate. He is housetrained and knows the commands âÂÂsitâ and âÂÂshake.â He is good in the car and on a leash, and learns new things quickly. He has lived with children, but can be a little rough when he plays. He will need some more training on appropriate play, but since he is so young and intelligent, this shouldn't be a problem once he learns what is expected. His foster family describes him as an âÂÂeasy puppyâ because he is housetrained and likes his crate. He also will curl up and fall asleep near his foster mom when she is on the computer. It is unknown at this time how he is with cats. Mickey's adoption fee is $250.
