Norah's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Through the heroic efforts of many rescuers working together (including the overcrowded shelter where she landed), Norah was saved from an untimely end in southern Ohio. She was vetted and then transported across five states, where she is being fostered in Northern Minnesota. Norah is a beautiful 4 year old mahogany Sheltie Blend whose heart’s desire is to have one special person as her very own. She weighs around 35 pounds. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she would prefer spending her time with her chosen someone. She is gentle with cats (and kittens) but would rather gaze into her person’s eyes. Are you looking for a canine friend who wants you as the center of her universe? Please consider the lovely Miss Norah. Norah is crate trained and leash trained; she knows ‘sit’ and takes treats gently. With rescued strays, a fenced yard is always a benefit, but we think she might be okay without one as long as her person stays close. Norah's adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in Norah, please contact LastHopeCollies@gmail.com or call 319-530-9770.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Norah, a Cedar Rapids Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
