Recon's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Recon is currently healing from a broken leg and has a cast one of his front legs. It was a small crack and he will heal completely in a few weeks and will have full mobility. He will be happy when the cast is gone because he is young and full of energy. He would be a great dog for an active person. Recon has the softest, shiny fur that will make you want to continually pet him. Come meet Recon and see how great a guy he is. Indoor homes only. His adoption fee is $175.00. Please contact Sonia at sonia@lasthoperescueia.org if you would like to meet him.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Recon, a Cedar Rapids Border Collie/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Cedar Rapids, or seeking a Border Collie/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Cedar Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
