Lexi's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Lexi's Story...
Lexi is part of the dynamic duo of Lexi and Marley. They are part Yorkie and part Poodle so they are Yorkiepoo's who are total cutie patooties. Lexi only weighs 7 pounds, is 5 yrs. old and has a soft brown and tan coat. They are a super funny comedy team and will no doubt win this years entertainer of the year award. They would prefer to be the only super canines in your home. Run, don't walk, to your computer so you can send in your application and get the chance to be interviewed by Lexi and Marley and possibly be picked to be their forever home.

For more information or to see Lexi, submit an online dog adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. After reviewing the application, staff will contact you—typically within 48 hours— to make an appointment to visit the farm where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi, a Fairfax Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
