Meet our little character Daisy. Time stamped and without a second to spare, we took in this gal without thinking twice. At just under 10lbs she has a large dog personality ! We are hoping to find her just the right fit to live out her golden years. Are you up for the challenge? Daisy lives in a foster home with many other small dog companions both male and female and does well. She is a good leash walker, not fussy at mealtime, loves the outdoors, and sleeps in a night time crate. She is house broken if given access to use the potty every 4-6 hrs! She is active beyond her years, (estimated >10) and peppy within her foster group! Daisy came to us with SEVERELY diseased teeth and gums, her surgery was painful but needed, 11 teeth were removed and medication given. Although her mouth is healed, her mind is still in the recovery phase of allowing touch to a once very sensitive and painful mouth and face. An adopter will need to be sensitive to SLOWLY reintroducing Daisy to head and facial touch, as this is still very distressing to her and her reaction is to nip, if that doesn't bother you, GREAT! She still LOVES her belly rubs and has so many wonderful qualities ! Please inquire about our girl Daisy!

About Senior Dog Haven & Hospice, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, dedicated group of fosters and volunteers. We strive to improve the lives of senior dogs who find themselves without a family to care for them anymore. We do not have a facility. Our dogs live in our homes as members of our families. We provide care, comfort, companionship and, most of all, unconditional love. We have worked in senior rescue for years, and see the continuing and growing need to get them out of shelters where they are often euthanized because of their age and/or medical reasons, or from owners that find themselves in crisis and no longer able to care for their companions (nursing home, illness, abusive situations, etc).

Senior Dog Haven and Hospice is a registered 501(c)3. All donations to our rescue are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
