Kohler is not yet a DREAM dog and is being listed as a courtesy to a Good Samaritan / foster parent, to try to keep him out of the overcrowded rescue and shelter system. If you are interested in making this sweetheart part of YOUR family, please let us know and we will put you in touch with Kohler's foster parent.

Hi! I am Kohler and I am looking for a new home. I am ~5 mths old and ~7.5 lbs, so I won't get too big when I am an adult. I am such a handsome brindle colored male puppy. I love love love people of all shapes and sizes and cuddling is my favorite activity. I like to lounge on the couch, bed, or even on the floor. I am fine in a crate, but I really love sleeping in the bed cuddling (I dont get up at all!) I am working on my potty training and am doing well but I am not totally there yet so please be patient with me! .
I have lots of doggy friends here and I love to play. I like to play with toys too! I would probably even get along with cats (I met a kitten a few weeks ago!). I am a little quiet when I am somewhere new, but as long as I am with you, I will be ok. But when I am home or happy, I run all around and bounce and bound. People say I am really cute when I do it!
So..., if you want a cuddle buddy and a puppy with a good energy level (I will play with you but love to lounge a ton of the time - foster mom jokes that I am the laziest puppy ever HaHa), then we will be perfect together!
To make me the happiest Dachshund mix ever, please let DREAM know you would like to know more about me.
If you are interested in adopting Kohler, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to
dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Kohler's adoption fee is $350. Kohler will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than the adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
